Sandbox Society

February 15, 2015

Sandbox Society is the social enterprise powering the Lovebot initiative.

The Sandbox Society was founded on three core principals: Play & Joy, Disruption, and Child-like Wonder. Founder and principal industrial designer Matthew Del Degan needed a brand that could easily articulate its mission while remaining fluid enough to be able to spring in to action for any of the various – and often eclectic – projects. In the wake of the tremendous attention Sandbox Society got for its LOVEBOT initiative that took Toronto (and the world!) by storm, the brand has a clear foundational strategy, and an understanding of who they are while still retaining the energy we are so enamoured with. We were thrilled to work so closely with him on the development of his new brand.

“When we approached Wondermatter, Sandbox was growing fast, but with no identity. Wondermatter not only worked with our strengths to create an identity that stands leagues above our competition, they helped us understand how our brand could move in the direction we want. Our brand blueprint is the first thing we share with our growing new staff, and we have doubled our product offering in one year. I would recommend Wondermatter to anybody that wants to have a more efficient business – and really powerful presence!”
